Death Penalty in Singapore

Almost all first world nations have abolished death penalty, of course, there are a few exceptions, including the US, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan.

Recently a questionable case of a mentally disabled man being executed has brought Singapore’s capital punishment to spotlight.

The Singaporean government has claimed the system makes the city ā€œone of the safest places in the worldā€, but is it true?
