Death Penalty in Singapore

Almost all first world nations have abolished death penalty, of course, there are a few exceptions, including the US, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan.

Recently a questionable case of a mentally disabled man being executed has brought Singapore’s capital punishment to spotlight.

The Singaporean government has claimed the system makes the city “one of the safest places in the world”, but is it true?
